A ReWater® System is a complete, rugged, low maintenance, proven, code-approved greywater irrigation system comprised of

1) a ReWater filter package,
2) a ReWater irrigation package,
and possibly
3) a ReWater rain harvesting package. 

For information about obtaining a permit for your ReWater system, see our Code Compliance page.  This proprietary form takes your plan checker through California’s greywater irrigation code in the order it’s written and provides all the information required to obtain a permit.  Your site plan, soil report, and potential landscape drawing is required to complete this form.

Greywater Filter Packages

Residential greywater filter packages are sized according to the number of shower, bath tub, bathroom sink, laundry, and other greywater producing drains connected to them.  You need this package during rough plumbing.  Following are our two residential filter packages.

Residential
The RWAF2 can be automated to capture, filter, and distribute flows from up to 4 greywater-producing fixtures in 2" pipe.  It sends greywater through a sand filter, then out to the landscape through ReWater’s underground drip emitter system made especially for greywater.  The filter's cleaning cycle can be manually actuated or automatically controlled by our 21-station Complete Control controller, which has numerous very useful and unique features.  Many people like this filter system's no-hands cleaning ability.  Maintenance is low.  It satisfies all codes.

The RWAF3 is like the RWAF2, but bigger in many respects.  Our most popular model by far, it is usually automated to capture, filter, and distribute flows from up to 17 greywater-producing fixtures in 3" pipe.  It sends greywater through a sand filter, then out to the landscape through ReWater’s underground drip emitter system made especially for greywater.   The filter's cleaning cycle can be manually actuated or automatically controlled by our 21-station Complete Control controller, which has numerous very useful and unique features.   Most people with large homes and large landscapes prefer this filter system.  Maintenance is very low due to its enhanced backwashing capability.  It satisfies all codes.

Model RWUHPP  ReWater® Ultra High Pressure Pump
Need more lift from your filter system but don't have 200, 208, or 230 VAC available?  Substitute your standard 120 VAC pump for 25% more pressure for only a little more money.  Our model RWUPP ultra high pressure pump can give you up to 30' more vertical lift while maintaining all of your irrigation run lengths, or up to 50' more vertical lift while maintaining 50% of your irrigation run lengths.  You can also use this extra pressure to send water farther horizontally.  This pump does not require the model RWJB1 junction box.

Multi-family/Commercial Packages

Multi-family/Commercial packages are sized according to the number of drains connected to them but also to many other factors.  Following are our Multi-family/Commercial filter system prices.

The RWAF4 is the beginning of our multi-family/commercial sized and wired systems.  Many factors including lift, pumping distance, peak surge, maximum surge, type of greywater, foot print cost, water and sewage rates, landscape size, municipal fee structures and other financial incentives, etc., go into our design consideration.  The only way we can determine the proper multi-family/commercial filter system for your application is to design it while under contract.  ReWater has been designing systems since 1990 and can quickly figure it all out for you.  While under contract, we can also provide you with permit documents and construction-grade plans on Autocad.

The RWAF4 is always automated to capture, filter, and distribute flows from up to 32 greywater-producing fixtures in 4" pipe.  It sends greywater through a sand filter, then out to the landscape through ReWater’s underground drip emitter system made especially for greywater.   The filter's cleaning cycle is automatically controlled by our 21-station Complete Control controller, which has numerous very useful and unique features.   Suitable for large homes or small apartment buildings where more irrigation pressure and volume is required for lifting water higher than even our 120 VAC ultra high pressure pump can provide.  Maintenance is very low.  It satisfies all codes.  Easily accommodates rain harvesting upgrade.

The RWAF5 is the next step up in our line of commercial sized and wired systems, and is the design for all of our larger systems.  These systems are always automated to capture, filter, and distribute flows as required.  It sends greywater through a sand filter, then out to the landscape through ReWater’s underground drip emitter system made especially for greywater.  The filter's cleaning cycle is automatically controlled by our 21-station Complete Control controller, which has numerous very useful and unique features.   Suitable for apartment buildings, dormitories, barracks, etc., where peak flows require surge mitigation.  Maintenance is very low.  It satisfies all codes.  Easily accommodates rain harvesting upgrade.

Irrigation Packages

Irrigation packages are sized according to a typical landscape's irrigation requirements.  You need this package when you're ready for landscaping.  Some sample ReWater® packages are priced out below, but virtually every package has some degree of customization involved.  Landscapes are as diverse as the people who enjoy them.

The difference between the irrigation systems listed below is the size of their distribution networks. Each ReWater irrigation system package comes with our 21-station controller. The model RW4AS package has twice the irrigation capacity of the RW2AS, but it only costs about 33% more, etc.  The larger the system, the smaller that percentage.  For larger landscapes, just purchase a larger irrigation package. For irrigation systems using more than approximately 2,000 emitters, add 1.5" valves to your package instead of 1" valves.

Note that you need a 200 VAC or larger pump to deliver the volumes needed for 1.5" or larger valves.  If you plan to pump uphill with volumes or pressures exceeding our model RWUHPP 120 VAC ultra high-pressure pump, you will need a 200 VAC or larger pump. We can help you figure out what pump your system needs.  When using a 200, 208, or 230 VAC pump, you need our controller and our RWJB1 relay junction box to drive those pumps.  Greywater with rain harvesting systems require the RWJB2 junction box because they’re operating two separate pumps.

All irrigation system packages come with our 4th generation 21-station controller, which controls filter and irrigation functions with 156 programmable features. Though it's as easy to use as the best on the market, no other controller can do the many things it does. Our irrigation systems have been proven from over 21 years of field experience in various soils, plant types, topographies, and climates. Tried and true components are used that, while seemingly similar to others on the market, actually work over the long run using greywater and ReWater's proprietary components. Many people have reviewed our website and taken short cuts trying to save a few dollars, but ended up with systems that failed for various reasons. All our controllers are outdoor rated.  Our junction boxes are made of rugged coated steel, but if vandalism is an issue at your site, oversized housings are recommended to contain both the controller and junction box in a locked structure.

High Voltage Relay Junction Boxes

This coated steel heavy duty outdoor-rated (NEMA 3) junction box has a fuse-protected relay and contactor for your choice of 200, 208, or 230 VAC single-phase electricity to drive one pump up to 40 amps.  It replaces the stock 120 VAC relay/contactor on the Complete Control. You do not need this junction box if you’re using a 120 VAC greywater pump.

Rain Harvesting Packages

With the addition of a rain harvesting package, when a ReWater filter package is connected to our rain harvesting package, instead of using potable water for backwashing the greywater system’s sand filter and for providing supplemental irrigation water when there’s not enough greywater to meet that day’s irrigation schedule, the system will use rain instead.  Our rain harvesting systems are further backed up with fresh water, should there not be enough rain. 

Combined Grey and Rain System

While each system works on ReWater’s principle of using water as required by the controller when the water is available each day, each system is slightly custom due to inflows, topography, code requirements, and the owner’s conservation, horticultural, and/or green building goals.

Our rain harvesting packages can also be used solely to harvest and irrigate with rain without a greywater system.
