Maintenance

On systems without our automatic filter, clean the filter bag as needed, usually about every two months in a typical 4-person household.  This is done by retrieving the bag then inverting it over a garbage can and shaking the contents into the garbage.  You may want to hose it out now and then to increase its flow rate.  Replace the filter bag about once a year.

For our automatically filtered systems, once a year, spin off the black filter vessel top with the large wrench provided.  Reach inside and roll the water diffuser over into the vertical position.  Scrap any solids or congealed materials from on top of the sand and dispose in the garbage.  If it's been years since you checked the sand, and you find it to be coated with a tight debris layer, clean the sand along the filter vessel's entire inside wall, as debris will have traveled down that wall as the water flowed to cleaner sand lower in the vessel.  After you're sure all sand is clean (i.e., free of solids and "clumps"), it should be level and within 4" of the bottom of the water diffuser pipe/inlet pipe, but no higher than the bottom of that pipe.  Add sand as required.  Use only 12-Grit sand, as too much water pressure will be lost through the use of finer sands.  Roll the diffuser back to horizontal.  Tightly secure the top back on the filter vessel.

FAILURE TO PROPERLY MAINTAIN YOUR FILTER CAN CAUSE PUMP FAILURE AND/OR DOWNSTREAM DAMAGE TO THE EMITTERS.

Warranty

ReWater Systems, Inc., warrantees all parts of the ReWater System to be free of manufacturing defects for a period of two years from the date of purchase, with a ten year warranty on the filter vessel and collection tank. We will replace, free of charge, parts found to be defective under normal use and service within the warranty period.

Within the warranty periods stated above, return the suspect component to ReWater Systems, Inc. at P.O. Box 210171, Chula Vista, CA USA 91921 postage prepaid and we will immediately assess and remedy the situation.  If after discussing the problem with ReWater, ReWater determines that sending the suspect component to ReWater is not practical and there is a possibility the problem is a warranty issue, arrangements may be made to have ReWater visit your site to analyze the situation.  Once on site, if ReWater determines the problem is not a warranty issue, a service charge will be due.

Plugging of the irrigation network is always a result of owner failure to properly maintain the filter system or from damage to the irrigation system in the field and is not covered by warranty. This warranty also does not cover plant loss or other such consequences due to the use of incompatible laundry products or other materials, or from improper installation, modifications, or non-approved operation. ReWater will not be responsible for other incidental or consequential damages or for parts or systems which have been altered, and our liability under this warranty is limited solely to replacing or repairing defective parts. No other express or implied warranty exists.
